It’s the intuitive time of the month again – time for my intuitive take on the month ahead. The core of this month’s message, as we move from 2009 to 2010 is simple: protect the structure that you are building like a fledgling bird, newly hatched, held in the palm of your hand.
I am writing on the longest night of the year- the winter solstice. It is prescient. From the time this post is up on my blog, the season will be changing. With each change of the season a new set of opportunities and constraints emerge. We are entering the next phase in the cycle. As you enter this phase of the cycle- in the northern hemisphere it will co-incide with the night slowly, slowly shortening, in the southern, with the darkness inching forward- the emphasis is on protecting the structure that is emerging in your life.
Whether you are protecting your fledgling – your emerging structure- from the sudden flames of inspiration that burn too bright and urge you to precipitous action, or from a despair that might possibly be engendered around the time of the lunar eclipse (whose effects will be fleet at the very end of December/ beginning of January) protect it you must.
A lunar eclipse is a time when something passes out of your life, or moves away to a different, less crucial position. It will certainly be a “something” whose time has come. Even if you feel sorrow at the passing of the person or event or position from your life, be assured you will not lose anything you really need. You will be letting go of someone (or thing) whose time has come. She (perhaps a she because the moon is female) needs to go. Bless her on her way, and rejoice in the new life you are holding.
So- the essentials are to protect the structure emerging in your life, and to let go of the form that needs to move on. Perhaps its a child who you must allow to become more independent? Perhaps a friend whose path beckons in a different direction? Perhaps even a job, or a home you don’t really want or need anymore? (or one that no longer fits the new form?)
Look ahead. Meanwhile, from the end of December to 16th of January, is a pesky mercury retrograde phase. That means communications are muddled, plans (especially travel plans) can be troublesome (expect delays). But, it’s a great time to go back over arrangements from the past that need to be reviewed. It is a very good prelude to going forward with the future that you are already holding in the palm of your hand.
Protect the fledgling that has come to you. It is yourself, and a gift to you. Nurture it, for it will fly, and you with it.
And – enjoy the holiday season.
With love good wishes for the New Year.
Go well, be well,
Michal
